Ray Bradbury

- When Bradbury wrote Fahrenheit 451, he was too poor to have an office, so he wrote it in a library by renting a typewrite for a dime a half hour. It cost him $9.80 to finish the first draft.

- When one of the Apollo astronaut teams landed on the moon, they named Dandelion Crater there in honor of Bradbury's novel: Dandelion Wine.

- Bradbury wrote for Alfred Hitchcock Presents and the Twilight Zone.

- Bradbury helped design the Spaceship Earth Attraction at Walt Disney World.

- "The main problem is the idiot TV. If you watch local news, your head will turn to mush."

- "All my good stories are told me by the characters. I don't write my stories. They write me."
