Welcome! I understand why you would not be a fan of this book, but I hope your opinion of the Brontes is not based solely on The Professor. Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, and Villette are some of my very favorite books.

If I'm reading classics, my tastes run a bit more to the adventurous - H.G. Wells, J.F Cooper, Rudy Kipling , J. London, A. Dumas, j. Verne, R.L. Stevenson, even Mark TWain and Charlie Dickens among many others. I realize these may be a bit sophomoric for your tastes but then, at my age,I am going back down the educational scale toward Shell Silverstein and Dr. Seuss. Do you read anything contemporary? Short story collections or essays? Non-fiction?
